Cafe, Shop & Day Visits
Our café will be open to both those who are staying with us on the estate and day visitors too!
We’d love to see you all for a chat, a cuppa and a slice of cake! All our produce and supplies will be bought locally and all part of our ethos of supporting the local community.
As part of our grand plans for 2021 we are planning to have our Estate shop and cafe open for the 2021 season.
We have partnered with some fabulous local businesses and look forward to selling high quality locally sourced products in our estate shop such as Torpenhow cheese company, Cumbrian tea company, Stone house charcuterie, Harrisons butchers, local milk and eggs from various farms in binocular distance! And veg from High Blaithwaite farm just down the road! Don’t worry we will be stocking essentials.
…I mean Lakes ice cream is a must on holiday too!!
We are fully licensed for take aways of your favourite beers wines and spirits and in Cumbria you are spoiled for choice! We hope to have a hidden gem or two that mum or dad may have not tried before!? The best local breweries have enthusiastically come aboard and we are proud to have Tirril brewery, the Tractor shed brewing company and Hawkeshead brewery as our primary stockists. Our wines are bought through a Cumbrian wholesale company, hand selected from a worldwide collection and not to be found in the supermarkets. We even have our own labelled Blaithwaite cellar selection, not to be missed for a bottle of something special! There’s Gins, vodkas and whiskeys, all from the sumptuous Lakes distillery, made from water from the river Derwent just 10 mins away. The selection is fantastic and you are sure to find a tipple just for you. If its something more fun and care free then get the bit between your teeth and buy a bottle of giddy up or saddle up Gin form the lovely Helen Askew and her tipsy filly business. You’ll love her amazing gins I’m sure!
