Rolling out the green carpet…
Blaithwaite’s grounds are truly unique. Our ancient woodlands, untouched for generations, are rich with a variety of rare and specialist trees, wrapped around Blaithwaite like a protective cloak.
As you make your way up our tree lined drive, the idyllic view across the landscape is completely unspoiled, the open countryside stretching all the way down to the Solway Firth. There is nothing to distract you from the birds singing in the trees and leaves rustling in the breeze, complete tranquility. There is an infinite amount of exploring to do at Blaithwaite, so we hope you’ve packed your walking boots and wellies.
Here, you are able to roam and explore so don’t expect extortionate entry fees, just the freedom to enjoy this beautiful place in all of it’s natural glory.
Children will enjoy the vast wide open spaces and encounters with the abundance of local wildlife – the red squirrels are a particular favourite of ours…
Your first stop will likely be our Main House which looks out on to the immaculate lawn, stretching it’s legs down towards Mary Jane’s Summerhouse which is a delight in itself. Take a relaxing stroll around our outstanding gardens, admire the walled rose garden, grab a seat on our sunny south facing terrace or in the conservatory and get settled in.
Once you have gotten your bearings there is plenty for you to do!
