Blaithwaite House originated in 1820 as a small farm. In 1969 Rev Dennis Donald opened The Main House as a Christian Centre and in the following years old farm buildings were altered to provide further residential accommodation.
Today Blaithwaite is still owned by the Donald family but is managed by Mal & Kay Tabb on behalf of In2venture Community Interest Company , a not for profit organisation which is part of the Christian Charity In2venture (Registration 518891).
In2venture has over 25 years of experience in providing outdoor education for the benefit of young people making Blaithwaite an ideal venue for Church; youth group and school residential visits.
Set in 30 acres Blaithwaite House can accommodate 110 guests in 3 residential buildings: Mainhouse, Stables & Ellrigg. We also have an approved camp site. During your visit to Blaithwaite you can walk around the grounds and enjoy the lovely gardens, relax in the conservatory, make use of our games field or participate in a wide range of enjoyable, challenging and educational activities
